We are using a website in class to practice our spelling lists using technology and interactive games. This website is free, and can be accessed at home by going to the URL: www.spellingcity.com Students can type in their spelling words from their agendas into the website and click on "Play a Game," "Teach Me," and other activities to practice their words at school or at home.
Every Monday the students' job is to write their words in alphabetical order in their agendas to take home for practice when they have time. Students will be doing various activities with these words for two weeks, and will be tested every second Friday on their list. Occasionally, there will be a larger test on all of the words from the year.
See Agenda for list of words that students can study from at home. Students write these in alphabetical order every second Monday, when they are first given their new words. If you are noticing that your child does not have this done in his/her agenda, please send me a note and I will make sure that an additional copy of their list goes home to be studied.
